Head of Finance - 20 hours / week

We are not ready for a CFO, but we still want talent that could evolve into that role. We grew well beyond our expectations last year and expect the same this year. We need a strong finance person who will report to our Co-Founder, be in the details of the business, and can shine beyond the below expectations. Consider this role if you see that you reasonably meet our expectations.

• You'll be responsible for month end and year end accounting.
• You’ll be responsible for the execution of payments as well as efficient processing of invoices
• You’ll be handling weekly bookkeeping tasks (issuing invoices, managing invoice approvals and travel expenses, etc.)
• You'll ensure the process flow in accounting, budgeting and forecasting
• You'll be the budget manager for human resources (new hires, compensation arrangements)
• You'll ensure the flow of information about the stability and cashflow of the startup
• You'll create and manage administrative matters around the startup
• You’ll be involved in exciting long-term projects like international expansion, hiring, software introductions etc.

• You have knowledge of the relevant accounting standards according to German GAAP, IRFS and HGB
• You have excellent analytical skills and a can-do mentality
• You’re great at self-organization and task prioritization
• You work autonomously, but you’re a great team player
• You have excellent Excel and Google suite skills
• You have startup experience and a degree in the finance or administrative field
• Your German and English are fluent
• You thrive in a fast paced environment; you don’t mind substantial swings in workloads and new challenges
