How can I change the email for my Beazy account?

Choose what email to use for your Beazy account by going to "my settings", and clicking "Settings" again. More options are available for the "Email Addresses" you choose to use.

How can I create an account?

How can I delete my account?

+

To delete your account on https://tools.beazy.co/: Access your settings and request an account deletion to our admins. Make sure this is what you want as you will lose access to your account, listings, profile and so on.

How to change notification settings?

To choose what you want to be notified for, in other words, to set up your notifications, you have to click on your profile picture in the navigation bar, select my settings, and in the settings for your account, find notifications. We might email you to support you with urgent rentals but you're free to opt out of those emails at any time. We just want to make sure you don't miss any opportunities.

How to set talent price and get hired?

Unlock Your Earning Potential with Beazy! To display your rates and the "Hire" button on your profile, simply log in to your Beazy account and follow these steps:

  • 1. Edit/Add Your Creative Talent: Showcase your unique skills and talents to captivate potential clients. Let them know what you bring to the table!
  • 2. Indicate Availability: Make sure to indicate that you're open to work. This way, clients will know you're ready to take on new projects and collaborations.
  • 3. Set Your Rates: Whether you prefer hourly, daily, or weekly rates, it's important to specify your desired compensation. Let clients know the value you bring to their projects.
  • 4. Specify Your Cancellation Policy: Establishing a clear cancellation policy helps ensure a smooth hiring process. Provide transparency and peace of mind for both you and your clients.

One vital step you shouldn't miss is updating your payment settings. This ensures that you receive hassle-free payments for your hard work. We've put together a comprehensive blog post that walks you through the process, making it clear and straightforward.

What should I do If I move or go away for a while?

You can either close your listings while you’re away or simply change them to a new location. Make sure to update your payment settings if you also use a new bank and/or different currency.

Can I choose who rents my listings?

Of course. The most important thing for us is that you are in full control of your listings. You are free to fix your price and accept/decline any requests as you see fit.

Do I have to leave a review?

It is not mandatory but it is greatly recommended. Reviews help us monitor our community and identify back actors early, while also helping the other party improve.

How can I find what I need for my creative project?

+

You can do a search for equipment, location or professionals and book / hire them directly. Finding the best offer without having to message potentially uninterested suppliers or talent is the most promising approach.

How can I update my billing details?

+

Your billing and payment details can be updated at any time on your Beazy account by going to your settings and selecting the payments tab.

How do I hire a talent?

+

When Beazy users share their talent they can show if they’re open to work or not. If they are open to work the “hire” button will be available on their profile. If the price is set for their services, pressing “hire” will open the booking workflow which allows both parties to negotiate service requirements and price until both parties agree. If the price for hire is not set, clicking the hire button will notify the talent to complete their profile. You can always message talents directly for any project or job you have in mind. Another option is to create an opportunity for all users in one go. This opportunity will be available on the opportunities page under “explore” on the navigation bar. Find more information here

How do I know if my location can be suitable for photo or video shoots?

Our users are always looking for very different spaces from one project to another, that’s why there aren’t any particular requirements on the size and look of the space. If you are still unsure, check out this blog article.

How to charge for extra time with gear or extra time spent on location?

+

If agreed between both parties, the renter can prolong the booked time, however likely to happen with location rentals, it is best to avoid this. To charge for the extra hours the renter will have to create another booking request for the amount of extra time. This is simply a way to cover the extra costs of the rental and the supplier does not have to make the rental object available. The extra time will be charged accordingly and at the supplier’s discretion. Note that Beazy is working on providing a better solution.

I damaged the rental object, what should I do?

Please contact both the supplier and the Beazy team as soon as possible so that a claim can be filed and the situation solved. It's for these situations specifically that we recommend having your own insurance, even though the supplier might also have their own insurance coverage, the costs of replacing or fixing the rental object might not be fully covered by the insurance provider in which case the supplier can request the renter to cover them.

Someone wants to rent my gear. Are they trustworthy?

We put a lot of effort into making sure that the people sharing through Beazy are trustworthy, but you should always make sure by yourself. Feel free to ask for more information, pictures, contact information, etc. Please contact us if you are doubting the person requesting to rent your gear.

The booking was rejected. What happens now?

+

The payment for the associated transaction was cancelled, which means that it was reversed back to your account. In the case of a reversal, you won't see a refund credit on your statement. You will just see the original authorization drop off the statement entirely after a few days. There will be no payment and no refund. It'll appear as if the whole transaction never happened.

Your bank should be able to confirm this. Depending on the card issuer, It may take a few days for the money to reach your bank account.

If you have to make another booking and are still waiting for the funds, you can try to reach out to other providers directly, via message, to confirm availability before committing to a final booking.

The rental object does not correspond to what is in the listing

Please contact both the owner via transaction conversation and the Beazy team as soon as possible. We will try our best to find an alternative so that you can still shoot and will try to solve the situation quickly.

What are Beazy's rental policies?

+

Cancellation Policy

Rental cancellation fees and rules are imposed by the Owner of the listing. In the case that there isn’t a clear cancellation policy defined in the listing, renters will follow Beazy’s cancellation policy, which states that renters can cancel a rental request before it is accepted, more than 48 hours before the start date, or within 2 hours of the request being accepted, at which point the rental is fully refundable. If the renter cancels within 48 hours of the rental pick-up/booking date, they will receive a 50% refund. If the renter cancels within 24 hours of the rental pick-up/booking date, the rental is non-refundable. It is the users’ obligation to follow up on the communication related to the transaction and when this does not happen Beazy has the right to intervene.


Rental Pick-up & Drop-off Times

Unless both the renter and the supplier agree, in writing on the transaction conversation, to another time and schedule, Beazy suggests that renters must pick up the rented items from 2 PM on the rental pick-up day and return equipment by 2 PM on the drop-off day; Late rental drop-off fees may apply if any item is returned later than the agreed-upon date and time.


Late Rental Drop-off Fees

Rentals dropped off after 2 PM on the drop-off day, or after the previously agreed upon time, are subject to a late drop-off fee that equals a one-day rental fee for the Listing. The renter must pay any late drop-off fee, which will be charged every 24 hours after the late drop-off until the rental is returned to the supplier. Late rental drop-off fees are imposed at the supplier’s discretion. For location rentals, the extra time spent on location will be charged accordingly and at the supplier’s discretion.


Transacting out of Beazy

Any efforts to move rentals or sales initiated on Beazy off-site to avoid fees are strictly prohibited and will result in account suspension, termination and possible legal action. Furthermore, any transaction initiated on Beazy and completed off-site will not be covered by any of Beazy's policies or protections. Perpetuating this conduct, and intentionally sharing contact information to allow it, promotes the implementation of stricter regulations on the platform which impacts all users.

What are the late rental Drop-off fees for listings?

The renter must pay any late drop-off fee, which will be charged every 24 hours after the late drop-off until the rental is returned to the supplier. Late rental drop-off fees are imposed at the supplier’s discretion.

What does replacement value mean?

Replacement value refers to the current price of your equipment and how much it would cost to replace it. In the case of a location, it refers to the average worth of the equipment & furniture inside.

What should I do if my rental object is not returned?

+

Try to reach out to the other party and report the delay to Beazy by disputing the transaction and contacting us directly.

We recommend giving the renter the chance to justify themselves. Since the rental object is not returned on time, they will incur additional costs. Refer to Beazy rental policies for more information. According to our terms:

6.4.4 Delayed return

The provision of § 545 BGB (German Civil Code)  shall expressly not apply. If the customer does not return the rental object to you after the expiry of the agreed period of use or does not return it to you at the agreed time, you shall be entitled to demand a usage fee in the amount of the agreed rent for the period of retention exceeding the term of the contract. Any further claims for damages on your part shall remain unaffected. An extension of the rental period is only possible with your express consent in text form. The right to use the rental object shall only extend to the agreed period of use. Continuation of use after the expiry of the rental period shall not in principle lead to an extension of the rental agreement even without express objection by you."

If there is no resolving attitude within 24 hours, move forward with the procedure to guarantee that your insurance covers the loss and file charges with the police. Beazy will provide all the necessary documentation to support your claim should it be deemed necessary and requested by the authorities handling your claim.

What to do if a supplier is irresponsive?

Reach out to the supplier via message on Beazy. If there is no response after several attempts to communicate, and you have made a booking, select the dispute button and get in touch with Beazy directly. If you wish to cancel a transaction, verify the cancellation policy on the listing, inform the other party via the transaction conversation and cancel the booking.

What type of listings can I create?

You can create listings for equipment and locations.

When and where do I pick up and return the equipment?

+

This has to be discussed and arranged between you and the supplier of the equipment in question.

Who will rent my equipment or location?

+

Location and equipment renters most often are professional or amateur photographers/filmmakers and production crews. Both can be used for private or commercial shoots so consider asking your potential renter what the purpose of the rental is. It might be that the renter requires a few tips from you on how to best use the gear or location, it's good to be clear on your requirements from the start.

Why are photos necessary?

Pictures are very important for all listings. Aside from showing that you own the item or space, it also shows its condition. Good photos are a major factor to improve rentals frequency, as listings with good pictures get rented considerably more often than those without. If you want to use really good photos or videos, you can always find a creative on Beazy to work with.

Can I choose my own photographer?

We choose the best-suited professional for you based on expertise, location, and availability. However, if you have a preference, you can mention it and we'll do our best to accommodate.

How do I book a photoshoot?

How do I download and store my photos?

Simply download your favorites straight from our platform. All your visuals are also securely stored on our cloud for easy access anytime.

How many photos do I get from a photoshoot?

The number of photos you receive depends on the package you select. We ensure you get enough content to fully showcase the subject, regardless of its nature.

How much does the service cost and when is payment due?

Pricing is based on the service and package chosen. We’ve made things super simple: input details, pick your date, pay, confirm and that’s it! You're all set and your shoot is booked.

How should I prepare for a photoshoot?

Ensure the space is clean, clutter-free and everything is ready-to-go. If you need help with set design, our team can assist upon request. The goal is to highlight the best features for the most attractive results.

What if I’m not satisfied with my photos?

Your satisfaction is our priority. If the visuals don't meet your expectations, we want to hear about it and we'll work to make it right.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

We get it, plans can change. While we can't cancel your appointment, we're more than happy to help you reschedule it. If you're unable to make the original appointment, just let us know more than 24 hours in advance, and we'll arrange a new date at no extra cost. But keep in mind, if you reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, a full charge will apply, as we need to respect the photographer's time commitment.

How can I get an invoice?

You’ll be able to request an invoice directly in your transaction once it is marked as completed or you can click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select settings, there you’ll find transactions where all the transactions marked as completed will have the option to request an invoice available.

What invoices does Beazy provide?

+

For all transactions made through Beazy, we provide 2 financial documents:

- One receipt is for the customer (any user booking a listing or a service), issued on behalf of the supplier. The information stated on this receipt depends on the information added by the supplier on their Beazy account. It includes billing address, tax identification number, VAT information amongst others. The suppliers are solely responsible to keep their financial status and tax information accurate.

- We also provide the suppliers with a VAT invoice from Beazy for the fees taken over a transaction.

Do I have to be registered as a freelancer or as a business to receive payments on Beazy?

It depends on the country you're based in. You're required by our Terms to comply to your local regulations and applicable law. If you supply equipment, locations or your services through Beazy you are required to update your billing address, bank details and tax status to comply with your local law.

How can I get an invoice corrected?

You'll be able to request an invoice directly in your transaction once it is marked as completed or you can click on your profile picture on the top right corner and select settings. Make sure to edit the message to add any correction requests before hitting send.

How do I fix my price as a supplier?

+

You are free to choose! We strongly recommend looking at similar items and/or services on Beazy and how they are priced and positioning yourself from there. Don’t worry, you can change this at any time.

How does Beazy process payments?

+

Beazy works with Stripe. Stripe builds technology that’s used by millions of companies around the world such as Amazon, Google, and Zoom. They help with everything from accepting payments to managing subscriptions to verifying identities.

How much money can I earn?

+

The monthly amount you can earn depends on the value of your gear, location and/or service, the price you fixed, and how often it is available. You could earn anything from 50€ to well over 10’000€ per month.

What are the available payment options?

+

You can pay for transactions on Beazy via credit and/or debit card. All payments are processed via Stripe.

What can cause a transaction to fail?

+

Occasionally, the verification of a user's ID might be required to process payments. The solution is to sign in to Beazy and verify the payment settings. If a verification step is necessary please complete it. There's also the chance that the other user does not have their payment settings up to date, or if they are a talent supplier, their talent is not set up correctly, in this case, they need to complete their talent, availability and check their payment settings.

When do I pay if I'm booking a location or equipment?

You will be charged as soon as you make a booking, Beazy keeps your money in escrow until both you and the supplier mark the order as completed.

When do I receive my money?

Within 3 to 5 business days after your order has been marked as completed by both parties involved.

Are Beazy users trustworthy?

+

All Beazy users have to follow our community rules and guidelines. We put a lot of effort into making sure that the people sharing through Beazy are trustworthy, but you should always make sure by yourself. For all rentals and services, always ask for more details like how many people are involved, pictures or contact, and if the renters have their own insurance coverage. Please contact us if you have any doubt, we will gladly help.

Do you have insurance?

Beazy doesn't provide insurance and we highly recommend that you purchase your insurance policy if you’re interested in both lending or renting equipment and locations through the Beazy platform. An insurance provider will be able to advise you on the best policy for your specific situation, they will be the ones handling any claims regarding loss, theft, damage, etc.

Is it necessary to share an exact address?

No, you do not. We recommend that you keep your address private before a transaction is confirmed. A postal code is enough when creating a listing.

Someone wants to rent my gear outside the Beazy platform. What should I do?

Say no. We will only be able to help you in the case that something goes wrong if the transaction has been processed through Beazy. It is very important to keep as much of your conversations and transactions on Beazy - so that your renter and yourself are bound by a contract, defined in our Terms of Use.
